life. She continues to work on macro-floral and erotic abstracts as well.
Her black and white photography has appeared in advertising circulars, in addition to work on
coffee mugs, tee shirts, calendars and greeting cards. She has won multiple prizes in
poetry competitions in the past few years and recently received a fellowship to the Colgate
Writers Conference in Hamilton, N.Y.
Rachael began writing at age seven with a Halloween poem, her interest in photography when
she was in her 20s. She found an abandoned camera in a snow bank...it still worked...which
led to the eventual addition of a Nikon F4 and 60mm Micro Nikkor lens.
Rachael is a member of several local and regional writing societies and artists' co-ops, and also
runs her own blogs, including
Poetry in Motion and
Writerraebeth's Weblog. She is a native of the Fingerlakes region and lives in Erieville
with her partner and many interesting animals.
