Rachael will be one of the featured readers in the Readings of the Penwomen at the Art Exhibition at Sozda Gallery, W. Yette St., Syracuse, NY 13090. Rachael will be presenting at the 2012 Writers’ Jubilee, which will be held on Saturday, April 28th, at the Edward R. Andrews Elementary School in Morrisville, NY. This event offers workshops on communicating through written, spoken, and visual methods. The Jubilee is free and open to anyone from third grade through adult. It includes school children and community members, not only from our district but surrounding school districts as well. The average attendance is over 300! See details and registration form.

Rachael's newly released chapbook, "Renovations" (Foothills) 2012 will be available at her table during the event as well as her two previous collections, "Transplanted" (Finishing Line) 2010 and "Slideshow in the Woods" (Foothills) '08. Rachael will also feature matted prints, original framed and matted works, as well as 11 oz. coffee mugs printed with the self same "Owl" in two styles.
Two of Rachael's large pastel works which were on display this winter past, at the Piano and Organ Center in Great Northern Mall, Clay, "Owl" which appeared in the Post Standard during that exhibition, and "Macaw Preening" which is from a shot of the macaw that lives in the aviary at Rosamund Gifford Zoo will go on the auction block. They are listed in the Rotary's CNY Art Showcase 2012 magazine which is available free through the Rotary club and through the artists. Rachael will have copies to share. It is a beautiful, satin cover, 40 page publication showing the artworks and with essays and information between.

Clay, NY 13041. The show is called Ask the Girl Arts presents. "Ask the Girl to Paint It: Faces". It is comprised of sixteen photos and paintings and drawings in mixed media including several prize winning pieces. Chapbooks are available for sale there as well.
